Good Morning Rita, Yes, its sad that so many children died young in those days. I have not seen those listings in Jefferson Co. Next time I go to the library I'll look them up. Do you have the towmship? I have him in Cleveland Co. in 1880 with 5 children. I think William Green died in the war. My husband was always told David Studdard meet Mr. Green in the war and Mr Green was dieing and he told David to go home and tell his family what had happen to him and to marry his daugher. We just did not know his name. There was a Francis Green who was the founder and frist pastor of Mt Zion church in Cleveland Co. David Studdard and all his family are buried there and we wondered if he was related someway to Ruth. David built a log house not far from where we live that is still standing and was lived in until recently. I have all of David and Ruth's children from their Family Bible if you want them Sorry this is so long! Mae Notify Administrator about this message?
