Hi...... My Crawford Co., Cemetery Book states: Cain Cemetery is named for John W. Cain, His family came here from Whitley County, Kentucky. He was the son of Leonard and Manerva Cain. John Cain was married to Olliff (Olive) K. Meadors and they were the parents of seven children: Anna V., Crittie A., Pricie A., William L., James M., John M. and Lucinda.
The Cain school (District No. 54) was also named for this family. It was a one - room box type structure built in 1883.

There are several CAIN burials listed if you are interested.......
