I've started a new index of obituaries for Cross County residents or former residents on the Cross Co. GenWeb page. It will include name, town, death date, newspaper and obituary publishing date.
I've started with just what was included in the County Archive site and have expanded on that using the websites of the Jonesboro Sun, Forrest City Herald-Times and the Commercial Appeal. So far, I've covered 2005 in the Jonesboro Sun and 2004-05 in the Herald-Times. Once I've included everything from the free sites, I'll move to the Commercial Appeal and index all Cross County obits there. After that, I'll slowly start including obituaries from the newspapers in Wynne and Augusta whenever I can visit the libraries there.

Comments and suggestions are welcome. This was the simplest way I could think of to provide some sort of access to these obituaries without worrying about copyright issues.
