Some cemeteries will let you leave messages on or near tombstones. You might ask the one in Monticello. If they let you, ask them what they prefer you use. You need something waterproof, like a 35mm film cannister (any photo finishing counter will have dozens of empties, and they are glad someone can use them.) The Fuji film ones are clear, which makes it easy. You have "Are you related?" in a big font on the front, and contact information on the back. Don't give away your street address, of course, and you might want to keep your surname private too. Keep it simple;
"These are my great grandparents. If you are related by blood or affection, let's chat.
Liz, {e-mail address or phone number}"
Trim and roll the paper up so it fits in the cannister with "Are you related" showing through and attach it to the tombstone or to a stake next to it, whichever the cemetery keeper reccomends.
