I knew the Crooks and attended high school with their children. They were members of Pauline Baptist Church.

Union Ridge Cemetery is where Mattie & Leroy Crook are buried. According to the Drew County Cemetery book:

(I recall when this happened - accidental gunshot wound by a friend.
