A. Hedges, Postmaster, Charleston, AR, ca 1906

A "Postmaster and Mrs. A. Hedges" are two names listed of several Charleston guests at the 50th anniversary celebration of Col. Thomas H. and Emma Savage Carter, of Beverly, AR, February 27, 1906. The article was published in the Fort Smith paper on March 6, 1906. I am seeking any information on this Hedges couple, as Emma Savage's great grandmother was a Hedges from Berkeley Co., WVA. These lines are documented. In my mother's vast collection of historical papers, I found a note from a cousin telling how "Aunt Emma drove us out to see Grandma Hedges". This has long been a mystery to me on who the "Grandma Hedges" might have been. At the time of the (undated) note, the Carters still lived at their Beverly home. I just recently found the news clipping among my mother's papers. Any leads on the Hedges living in Charleston will be greatly appreciated.
