I am looking for information about John Samuel Nelson or Samuel John Nelson who died in or around Charleston around 1897. I THINK Mary Ann Brown was his sister. His wife was Kissiah Jane Potter and they had 6 or 7 children. I have placed his family in Sebastian County on the 1900 census and they were in Texas by 1910 after spending a few years in Indian Territory in between. Family stories have always placed his death in Charleston, Arkansas in 1897, but either of those items may not be accurate. The family had emigrated from Georgia or Tennessee in the early 1890's.
Any information, hints or tips would be greatly appreciated. This is my mother's grandfather and is all we know about him.
