Kristin,
I hope I can get in touch with you. I am interested in your Hodges line. My grandmother was a Hodges in Louisiana (1896). Her father was Charles or Charlie Hodges. The fact that red hair and blue eyes run in our family. Charlie was a fisherman by trade in the late 1800's, but also a pretty good carpenter. His son John Hodges was a excellent carpenter even though he could not read or write. I know of one house in particular that he built that was redo lately and the carpenters working on that house could not believe the workmanship done in building the home.
I have no information on Charlies family but, they were believed to have moved to La. from Georgia. Charlies had a grandson who had a middle name Harvey.
Can you help find my greatgrandparents.
Thanks, Emilie
