I am a descendant of Amanda Jane Shoemaker/Richardson's older brother, Louis Monroe Shoemaker. I have been in contact with Herbert Shortreed of Hot Springs. I have made contact with a living descendant from each sibling of the family. I am glad to find your post. I've never actually visited this Garland County page. I usually peruse the Shoemaker site.
Herbert told me of a photo he used to have but has lost. I would like to find for him and me. Have you any knowledge of the photo of Amanda and her parents coming to Hot Springs from Missouri in a covered wagon???
I have a pic of your grandmother with some other family members.
Do you live in Hot Springs??? I live in California. I visited Hot Springs a couple years ago. I went to the genealogy library and the cemeteries. Please contact me. I would enjoy sharing Shoemaker/Richardson info with you.
