Looking for info on the descendants of Wesley KING, b. 1815 in KY, married Rhoda Unknown abt. 1840, enumerated in Hempstead County, AR in 1850, occupation noted as "Constable." In 1860 the family is still in Hempstead Co., now Wesley is noted as "Jailer". In 1870 he is a farmer in Hempstead County, and 1880 finds him in Nevada County, AR living next door to sons Valentine KING and Henry Clay KING.
Wesley KING was the son of Edwards KING and Sarah Unknown...Edwards KING was the son of John Edwards KING and Sarah CLIFTON.
Children of Wesley KING and Rhoda Unknown include Valentine, Mary Catherine, William A., Edward, Rufus, Henry Clay, Laura and Pena KING, all of whom were b. in Arkansas, probably Hempstead County, in the 1841-1860 range.
My direct line is thru son William A. KING who married Sarah Margaret NORRIS of Cumberland Co. KY. in 1866. William KING's children include Harvey Edward, Henry C., Mary E., Loney P., Daniel R., Vela, John William and Millie KING, all b. Hempstead County.
Would love to hear from anyone who relates to this Wesley KING line or any of his children, would be glad to share what I know.
