Searching for information on the family William JOHNSON born 1836 in Jackson Co., TN and wife M(ary) Jane BEEKER born 1840 in AR. They married in Washington Co., AR 1854. The children include Mary J, Margaret E, Louisa C, Perry L, and Melrosa. Found what appears to be this family in 1870 Mine Creek Township, Post office Washington, Hempstead Co., AR. They next appeared in Mineral Springs Township, Howard Co., AR in 1880. William was listed as a merchant, grocery store.
William applied for a pension based on his confederate service in Howard Co., AR 1897. May have moved to Tahlequah, Cherokee Nation (OK)shortly thereafter. Any info on children and who they married would be greatly appreciated.
