I did find out some more information and a correction to what I thought at first. My interest in this line is mainly through Lina Arnold.

Echols, Billy, 79, passed away July 19, 2008, in Irving, TX. He was born on August 24, 1928 in Pine Prairie, AR., to James Samuel & Lina Echols. Billy was a longtime resident of Irving, he worked for the Irving Independent School District in the Maintenance Department. He was preceded in death by his parents, James Samuel & Lina Echols. He is survived by his Wife, Elcie Echols of Irving, Four children, John Echols and Wife, Ana of Irving, TX., Homer Echols of Irving, TX., Dallas Echols of Irving, TX., and Linda Stewart and husband Floyd of Irving, TX., One Sister, Adda Belle Rogers of Mineral Springs, AR., 6 grandchildren, and a large number of nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends for visitation on Tuesday evening from 5:00p.m. to 8:00p.m. at Chapel of Roses Funeral Home. Graveside services will be Wednesday, July 23, 2008 at 2:00p.m., at Alleene Cemetery in Alleene, AR.
