My mother was Ola Vera Kirk the daughter of John Ephraim Kirk and Ola Mae Morgan. Ola's grandparents, John Nelson Kirk and Martha Christian (Puckett)Kirk are buried in Bethlehem Cemetery.
I would like to find information about Ola Mae Morgan Kirk. Where she was born, when, and any information about her family.
1. Ola Vera Kirk Smith had two older sisters: Ruth Kirk Hall and Della Kirk Watkins. Ruth is buried in Prescott, AZ and both Della and Ola Vera are buried in Miami, AZ.
2. J.E. Kirk moved the family to Waco, Texas where Ola Mae Kirk gave birth to my mother, Ola Vera, 09 April 1902.
3. Possibly a year after my mother's birth, Ola Mae Kirk died and was buried either in the Waco area or brought back to Izard County for burial.
4. My mother and aunt used to tell us that their mother was from Missouri.
5. Evidently Ola Mae's father was a G. B. Morgan and my mother and Aunt Della said he was a doctor of some kind.
6. I think that G.B. Morgan had been divorced from Ola Mae's mother; something unusual for that period, I think.
7. G.B. Morgan evidently made trips to Sage, Izard County, to visit his grand children, according to my mother and my aunt.
8. One last hint. The oldest cousin in our family told me that her mother, Della, mentioned that G.B. Morgan lived in Kirksville, MO, but I have not been able to find his name listed in any of the census records of Kirksville.
Any information would be very much appreciated.
