HELP!! I have been looking for this guy forever!
Family thinks his name was Silas Aaron Brown. Found marriage certificate for his 2nd marriage and he's listed as Silas C. Brown. Anyway here is what little I have:
Silas BROWN born abt 1847, maybe in Tennessee.
Married first to Martha BLANCHARD?? Don't know when.
Had 2 children John BROWN (born abt 1882) and Callie BROWN (born abt 1885). Martha died in childbirth with Callie. Callie lied about her age on her marriage certificate to James Edward SMITH in Nevada County, Arkansas in 1902 and would never tell us how old she really was, so I'm not sure of her actual birth year.
Silas then married Josephine GRIFFIN in Jackson County, Arkansas on 30 October 1893. Silas died before 1900 in Arkansas.
Josephine married Robert STUART of Nevada County, Arkansas in 1899 and finished raising the 2 Brown children (Johnny and Callie), STUART's son from a previous marriage, and her nephew, Jessie GRIFFIN. No children of her own.
If you have any information at all that could steer me in the right direction, please, please let me know.
