I read your posting on John B. King and Harriet A. McLendon. Could Harriet McLendon be the daughter of John W. [Scotch Jack] McLendon and Sarah Huntley from Anson County, N.C.? If she is the daughter of John
W. and Sarah McLendon, then she is the sister of my great, great grandmother, Mary Jane McLendon. I have not been able to find much on this family. Would you have any information on the parents of John W. McLendon, and would you have any pictures of this family?

I found a John W. McLendon serving in the 4th Regiment, Compamy H, Arkansas Infanty. He died in 1862, I believe in the war.

Thanks,
Edith M. Owens
