I found the earlier census as well, and came to the conclusion that they moved a lot. A Thomas Hurt also had some swamp land grants up in the NE part of the state ?? I checked the on-line index for the Johnson Co. Hist. Soc., and there are several mentions listed for T.S., M.J., and W.H. in the April 1979 issue, pages 1-4. I don't have a copy of these issues, so can't offer any clue as to what the articles might be Also April 1985 - Mrs. M.J. on p. 44 & 47 Also Oct. 1979 - Mrs. M.J. on p. 57 & 59 You can get to this index from a link on the Johnson County page: http://www.johnsoncountygenealogy.com/ Notify Administrator about this message?
