The place with the highest probability of having the newspapers for that period is the Arkansas History Commission, at the State Capitol complex in Little Rock, where they have everything that is readily available on microfilm. They do have most of these at the Clarksville library as well, and you may find them through ths LDS Family History Centers. Be aware, however, that there are scattered missing issues over the years.

I don't remember the time frames for the names of the local paper, but it will be the Herald-Democrat or a variation, which was active at that time. It was a weekly paper, so you would want to look in the two or three issues following.
You might find an obituary, a mention in one of the local community columns, a list of hospital patients, or a card of thanks from the family afterwards, so you may have to go through the whole paper.
