I am researching the Sams families who at one time lived in
the Lafayette County and Miller County Arkansas area.
Does anyone know of a funeral home in the Lafayette area
in the late 1930s named Lewis funeral home? Is it still in existance? A grave found in the extreme part of Louisiana
shows that the Lewis Funeral Home handled the services.
Needless to say, the funeral home marker (from 1938) is not clear now. Since the husband died in Lafayette County in
1949 and was brought back to Louisiana for burial in the same graveyard, I assume that the Lewis Funeral Home was also in the Lewisville Arkansas area. Any help appreicated.
