Yes, Doris, I think they are one and the same based on my limited research since COOK is a collateral line that I've not pursued. The following info is what I put in my file and you probably have it also. If you have any additional information on Permelia such as DOB, DOD, and locations, I would appreciate the info. Thanks for your question. VRB 19 Dec 1850, District 6, Franklin Co., AL census record lists the following family: Calicoat, Thomas B. 50 Farmer NC Catherine 35 NC James 17 AL William 13 AL Thomas 11 AL David 9 AL Lucy 8 AL Permelia 2 AL I believe that Catherine was a second wife to Thomas B. and she was only the mother of Permelia, but I don't know that my assumption is correct. She may have been the mother to all of the children. The last name has evolved into "Callicott." 27 Dec 1860 Itawamba Co., MS census record lists the same family: Calicott, Thomas B. 62 School Teacher SC Catherine 51 SC Lucy E. 17 AL Permelia R. 11 AL Ray, Eliza 20 AL Ray, William 1 MS I don't know how Eliza Ray fits into the family since she wasn't listed on the 1850 census unless she is "Lucy."
