You might try writing to THE TEXARKANA GAZETTE, Texarkana, Arkansas. They generally carry all the obituaries for Miller, Lafayette, Hempstead, and Nevada Counties in Southwest Arkansas. Their archives should include Lewisville.

I'm not sure how far back their archives go, but they should cover the period you are interested in.
