Thanks so much, Mike. The info I had was from the James B. Baker History (Dunklin Co. MO Hist. Soc.) and I was trying to match it to the census data. Mr. Baker made lots of notations where the printers had made mistakes, but I guess this one confused him too and this was back in 1960 when more relatives knew their family history. The daughters from James B. Baker's 1st marriage (to Nancy Caroline Johnson), Emmaline and Nancy Caroline, married the Ellis brothers James & William. If anyone needs any Baker history, contact me.
