I think I found your ancestor on an 1880 census. He was living in Jackson Co., AR (the county south of Lawrence Co.)
If you search for Jackson Co Ar historical society you will get a site that has a link to Jackson Co cemetery inventories. It will take a while to look at all of them. However, if you find the censs record, I found it on Ancestry.com, you can identify the area where he lived. Each cemetery has a description of its location. Don't know if he was buried in Jackson county or not but Portia is not far from the county line.
I could not get an inventory for Portia Cemetery to load.Kept getting a message that page was not available. I found a list of Arkansas cemeteries on idreamof genealogy.com.
