Ellen, thank you so much for this info. This is the first confirmation that I've had that William R. was actually known as Ross. The Anna that is listed was my great grandmother, Nancy Anne Jeffcoats Johnson Triplett.
Now, if I could tie this great grandmother to the one on the other side of the family. Yes, both of my great grandmothers were Jeffcoats and were related in some way. The other one was Susan Jeffcoat who married Wiley Martin in Benton County, MS in 1872 and had 4 sons. She is another one that evidently drifted down from Mars or somewhere because I can find nothing else on her.
