Hello, all.
Does anyone have information concerning John F. WOODFIN in St Francis County, AR or Marshall County (Holly Springs), MS?
My research contains info re John F (b 1820 TN) & Mary G. (b 1824 NC) WOODFIN in 1850 Marshall County MS census with children: James E (b 1844-45), Lillian (b 1846), Anna (b 1849); 2 more children were born to John & Mary WOODFIN while they were in MS: E.L., born 1851 in MS, and Mary E., born 1853 in MS. (Their children were baptized in Hudsonville Presbyterian Church in Holly Springs).
The family moved to St. Francis County, AR around 1859, enumerated in the 1860 St. Francis (Richland Twp) AR census with their children: James E., Lillian, Anna, Eugene L., Mary E., and unnamed infant born June 1860 in AR.
Questions: John F. WOODFIN died in 1861 in Prairie County (Des Arc), AR; however, Prairie County courthouse doesn't have records. Do you know where there are records re John F's death in 1861?
