David Ballinger
STAR CITY — John David Ballinger, 59, of Star City died Wednesday, Dec. 12, 2007.
He was born Jan. 25, 1948, in Lincoln County, a son of the late Loye Bill Ballinger and Rosie Montella Harrison Ballinger.
Survivors include his wife, Patricia King Ballinger; one son, John Loyd Ballinger of Lonsdale; one grandchild; and three stepgrandchildren.
Funeral services were Saturday at Griffin Funeral Home at Star City. Burial was in Holly Springs Cemetery.
***The Ballinger roots were in Yell County. John Anderson, the brother of my grandmother, Ida Alice Webb, married a widow Ballinger in Yell County. He raised the Ballinger boys as his own.
