Hi, I am looking for information on the Johnston family. Thomas Henry Johnston b1845 Alabama m Margaret Mclanahan (Maggie) Fowler. They had children Laudan b1878, Nora m Bearden, Lee m Jake Hill, Mary m George Gammon, Melvin m Pearl Hill, Sara m Callicot, Francis m King David Tidmore, Philip m Demoria Whisenhunt.
About 1922-23 my grandpa Lonnie Bearden first year of marriage sharecropped in Little River, Co. for Old man Brock or Block etc. who had married Margaret Mclanahan (Maggie) Fowler after the death of Thomas Henry Johnston. This was near where the courthouse is but I am not sure if this was the current courthouse or the old location. I am not sure if Brock was a name or nickname Melvin Johnston lived near them at that time.
