The Ridge was known simply as Barber Ridge. Pine Log Cemetery and church are located on this ridge as my Grandfather was born and raised here. Both my great grandparents and my grandparents are burried in the cemetery that over looks what my family recalls as Barber Ridge. That family name was Moore. I have pics of the original house that they lived in and pics of this family in its entirety. Clement Wesley Moore and his son William Newton both had homes on this ridge. My grandparents are burried in the cemetery closest to the road ,but it overlooks that whole valley that he was so fond of. I have listened to many stories told by my uncles and great Uncle about this place. Grandparents were Jesse Webster Moore and O'Dessal Godwin Moore.
