My mother remembers that Her grandmother used to carry hard candy in her pocket and handed it out to all the kids when they visited. I have a genealogy site listed under Dewitt and allied families. It has many pics of the families who grew up there and married into the moore families. If you need I have pics of the church and cemetery as well as the family home of Climit and Luiza Doshier Moore and the William Newton Moore families. My Moore homes were located about a half a mile west of Pine Log Church.
