Am trying to locate information on the Seals and Motley families that were in War Eagle, Madison Cty in the timeframe of 1850-1870+ years. I have found an Elizabeth Seals with several daughters: Matilda, Mahelen, Mahala, Eliza Jane, Sarah, Mary, Margaret, and Martha (possibly Marsha). I am trying to verify that the husband of Elizabeth is Zealous Seals but have found conflicting info that states Matilda's father was Burl Seals. This is not the Burl Seals b. 1790 and son of John Seals and Margaret Hall. I understand there is a Burley Seals buried in Dutton cemetary but have no other information on him.
Matilda and Eliza Jane both married Motley's (George and John E. respectively). Margaret married Albert Patrick Cain, and Mahelen first married Thomas Hubbard, then John C. Grammer, and finally George Merideth. Mahala married Thomas J. Snow but he died about two years later and I can find no record of her after that. I have no further information on the other girls.
Would like to verify who the husband of Elizabeth was (and her maiden name, if possible) as well as any/all information regarding these families. If anyone can help I would greatly appreciate it!
