HI-
I am wondering if someone can suggest some resources for me to use either on line or via library loan. I am searching for information on a family that is believed to be in the Drakestown (Drakes Creek?) area between 1880-1890. My great grandmother Grace Bell always said she was born at Drakestown ARk. Nov 2 1884. Her parents were George Wesley Bell and JOsephine "Fina" Perdue. Her sisters Susie A Bell born in 1882 and Scharlott (called Lottie) was born in 1883. All presumably in Ark. Older children who would have also been in the family are Sherman, William, Ellie, George Wesley Jr., Charles, Alex, and Frank. Clara May Bell was born 1890l, in Illinos. The family moved around a lot, ky, Tennesse, Il, ARk, back to IL then Fina supposedly died in 1894 in Tennessee.
I findthe family in Gallatin Co. IL on the 1880 Fed. Census. In 1900 I find George Wesly Bell remarried and in Putnam Co Tennessee with some children but not all.
