She was Jane C. (perhaps Catherine) "Jennie" Bragg Gunter from Charles Town Virginia (now WV)
m. Thomas abt 1859 (they are listed in the 1860 census together in Washington Co. Arkansas with his son, Julius from his 1st wife, Marcella Jackson -He was married to her from 1856-1858 when she died (perhaps in a childbirth situation).Jennie and Thomas had two children:Walker T. Gunter (b. Feb, 1869) Attorney in Salt Lake City Utah. and daughter, Gertrude (b. 1876) m. Robert M. Forbes of Evanston Illinois. Julius Caldeen Gunter was born Oct 31 1858/d. Oct 26 1940 - renown judge in Denver Col.
Jane "Jennie" is probably the daughter of Charles G. Bragg of Charles Town (listed with him in the 1850 census).Charles G. had come from the southern Virginia Bragg family -moving to Charles Town sometime between 1820 - 1830.He was a Veteran of the War of 1812 - 41 Reg't (Bramham's) Virginia Militia; Kemper's Detachment. He resided in Front Royal Virginia in 1820, as did a John Bragg and Thomas Bragg - all with their young families.Biographies of Thomas Montague Gunter said that Jennie was a "relative" of General Braxton Bragg; -this would have been a "distant relative" - as it was his Grandfather (John) that was Virginia born, so her Grandfather and John may have been brothers....
