According to the Montgomery County Our Heritage Vol. 1, there is the history of James Bevill, brother to Elizabeth Bevill Montgomery.
Robert Bevill and Cynthia Meredith who were married in Guilford County, North Caroline, moved with his father, Edward Bevill to Madison Co.,Alabama. They lived just North of Huntsville, Al where James was born. By about 1839, Edward Bevill and his wife Mary were dead. Robert moved his family to Clark Co, Arkansas. Among those who made the move were his two married daughters: Elizabeth Bevill who married Robert Montgomery, and Mary Bevill who married Lazarus Mooney. James b. aug 25, 1827 and d. jan 23, 1885. James married Elizabeth Pettit on sept 3, 1854. James and Elizabeth moved to Montgomery Co, after his parents died. A sister, Emily Bevill married Willam Arnett Calloway.
The Robert Montgomery family lived a long life in Montgomery County. There are most likely still descendants there.
