Hello John: What a find!! I am kind of new to genealogy, computers, etc. and just found this site. William Merrill Brooks, Sr. was my gg-grandfather. His son, W. M. Jr. was my g-grandfather. Jr was born 18Aug1853 in Falcon, Nevada County, AR. My records show that Sr was married to Elizabeth Beasley d. 1858. He married at least 4 times, the 4th to Martha Parker of Hope, AR. This is all I have on the two of them. This is great. Jr married Mary Anetta Cox. Their daughter was my gr-mother. She was born in Murfreesboro, Pike County, AR. My mother in Cale, Nevada County and I was born in Texarkana, Miller County. I had been thinking that my gr-mother had to have some uncles somewhere because she had cousins in Texarkana named Brooks. This is the first time I have found a connection on this part of MY family. 'Talk' to you soon.
