Newton County Courthouse was burned during the Civil War. The first marriages recorded are in 1864 and some of them are gone from the first marriage book. Only the index for the first part is there. Your Eliza BEAL was not listed in this first marriage book. It is possible since she was 20 in 1860 that she married before the courthouse burned and there will be no record of it.
