No, there are very few towns in Arkansas who will have marriage or any other vital records filed. The only one I know of here in Arkansas is Little Rock. There are early death records on file for this town.

Remember, Arkansas is a rural state. County records were about all that was kept. And Newton County is one of the most rural there is. It was hard to get to Newton County in the old days and it is still remote. Even though it is only about 20 miles to Harrison in Boone County, it will take you about 35 to 40 minutes to drive this road into Newton County, because it is so crooked.
