James Allen LESLIE b. 4 Jul 1805 South Carolina, d. 17 Nov 1882 Texas; married 1832 in Tennessee Elizabeth Ann ATKINS b. 22 Jan 1809 South Carolina, d. 24 Aug 1882 Texas. They appear on the 1850-1870 censuses for Marion Twp., Ouachita Co. where they owned 200 acres and had two slaves.
Their son Alexander Thomas LESLIE b. 9 Sep 1833 Tennessee, d. 18 Jul 1924 Texas had 118 acres in Marion Twp., Ouachita Co. and lived there until at least 1867. On 11 Jan 1860 he married Margaret Anne PETTY b. 9 Mar 1836 North Carolina, d. 16 May 1913 Texas.
