Hello Susan. Thanks for your reply. I do not know any of Joseph Jones' siblings. I assume his father may have been William Jones but do not know. He named his second son William. I only know Joseph's date of birth, 10 Dec. 1810 Ga. and death 08 Aug. 1890 Calhoun Co. Arkansas. He married Elizabeth Walden on 27 Nov. 1834 in Coweta Co.Ga. This is recorded in the Bible Records of an Isaac and Milly Jones which is available on internet with several records.
I believe he is connected with (brothers) Nathaniel and Isaac Jones of Morgan Co. Ga. A William JOnes listed in Clarke Co. Ga. census is neighbor to Alexander Walden, (father of Elizabeth Walden). In 1840 census, Joseph Jones is listed as blacksmith in Heard Co. Ga. In 1859, Joseph Jones owned homestead grant in Calhoun Co. Ar. Eliz. Walden died in 1859. Joseph immediately married another Elizabeth, in 1860, Eliz. Mays Mosley, She was 38, and he was 50. If anyone can provide parents for this Joseph Jones I would be very grateful. Thank you . Carol Jones
