Nita, thanks for your reply. I had a brother of George listed as "Thomas H. Martin, b. ca 1870," but after looking at the 1880 and 1900 Ouachita Co., AR, census records this evening I see that I had him listed incorrectly. It appears that W.T. went by "Thomas" since he was listed as such on both census records.

There was a "John L. Bryant, b. Mar 1833 GA" listed as a boarder in the HH with Thomas and Mary in 1900. I assume he was actually Mary's father.

I only saw "Annie, Robert, Loula, and Louis" listed as children of Thomas and Mary in 1900, so I assume your grandfather, William Jewell Martin, was born after 1900.

On George Martin's "World War I Draft Registration Card" dated 12 Sep 1918, he listed his DOB as 19 Feb "1876." I don't know if that was an error on his part or not. I know his tombstone lists "1873" as the YOB.

Thanks again,
VRB
