Hi Debbie,
There is an old Civil War Battle Ground in Helena and there is an old Civil War Cemetery at the top of a high hill where Confederate Soldiers are buried. A lot of them died in other places and were shipped back. My husband is from Phillips County, but we live in Texas now. We both went to the old cemetery in May of this year. There is a Huge monument with some names on it and a lot of old single graves... some with names...some with out names. You might try writing the Helena Chamber of Commerce or calling them. I don't know the address, but I could find out. There is a Delta Cultural Center in Helena and they have a lot of info on both Union & Confederate soldiers...but mostly Confederate. You might find some thing out from them.
Goodluck!
