I am researching the DEMENT family of NC, TN, and AL.
Susan Sublette Dement was born in 1825 in Madison Co. AL. She married George B. SMITH on 19 Oct 1841. They are on the 1860 Phillips Co.AR census in Richland Twp. According to the birth of the children they moved there between 1856 and 1860 census. I have lost them after that...of their many children, all were girls except for Alfred SMITH b. 1846 AL. This is not my direct line but I am covering all DEMENTs.
