According to "Tennessee, The Volunteer State, 1769-1923, Vol 3", this William V. Taylor was born near Raleigh, North Carolina, did marry Mary C. Jarratt, daughter of Nathaniel R. Jarratt, a Methodist Minister, and after the Civil War moved to Louisana, where he died. This William V. Taylor and wife Mary C. had two sons, two daughters; William V. III, Arthur Robert, Mary, and Nena. This bio indicates they moved to Memphis, TN, directly from Mississippi, but the 1860 census of Phillips Co., AR proves that wrong.
