I am trying to find the names of Annie Mae Mathis's parents.

** Annie's father was shot by an intruder between the years 1895-1906. Her mother remarried & had a son by him. Her kids by her 1st marriage were Annie Mae & Frank. Her son by 2nd marriage was Orval. She died around 1906 when Orval was about a year & a half or 2. The step dad was going to send all 3 kids to an orphanage. So Annie & Frank ran away. They left Orval behind, because he was too young to take. Since the kids were young, I'm assuming their parents died in AR. However, I'm not for certain. Annie's mom was 100% Cherokee Indian--as far as we were all told over the years.
