i am trying to locate my g-grandfather and his brother in the 1860 census. i went to the memphis library today and found j r wilson and j w wilson on page 496 of pike county census, but the print was so small and unclear to determine what i found. it appeared to be a large group of people in one residence but i was unable to determine who was listed as the head of the family. every person was listed with their full name as if they were in a commune. according to my records, j r wilson was married to m a wilson and had a 3 year old daughter, mary a wilson, and living in ark in 1860. his son, columbus wilson, was 10 in 1870 and born in ark. to date i have not been able to learn the parents of j r and j w wilson. any help will be greatly appreciated. i can be reached at: hd_clark@bellsouth.net
thanks in advance
