I am looking for any information regarding a newspaper article,(sorry date unknown, altho likely prior to 1905).
Article as follows:
A Fatal Affray
Pike City, Ark.,Aug 30. - In a fight last night Bee Coker struck Marion Johnson on the head with a stave, inflicting fatal wounds. Johnson's brother attempted to prevent Coker's escape and was stabbed in the back by a brother of Coker. Both men will die.
This is a very tiny article and I have nothing more to go on for tracking it down. The B Coker mentioned was a younger half-brother to my g-grandfather. He went on to serve a lifetime in law enforcement in Waco, McLennan Co, TX. He has one son still alive, at 86 y/o. I would like to give him this info with some real history behind it, as I believe this to be news to him in every way.
