Theophilus Griffin was my g-g-g-grandfather. His son, James M. "Jim" Griffin was my g-g-grandfather. His son, Lewe Christopher Griffin was my g-grandfather. My grandmother was Imogene Powell. Theophilus Griffin was mentioned in two separate Goodspeed's articles. I know he came from North Carolina and that is all. Does anyone have any information about this man? He was born about 1809-1810. He was married to Eliza Thrower. He died in 1861 and is buried in Bolivar Cemetary near Greenfield in Poinsett County. I have been unable to find any information about when he migrated from NC to AR. I know nothing of his siblings, parents,etc. Thank you for any help--any nudge in the right direction.
