Daniel Hunt, born in North Carolina, and his wife, Mary "Polly" Wiseman, came to Scott County, Arkansas about 1836 from Orange County, Indiana. Dates for his death conflict. He is listed in the 1850 census as living next to his daughter, Mary Jane, and his son-in-law, Thomas Hyfield (Highfill, Highfield). Some dates given for his death predate the day Daniel was enumerated in the census (18 October 1850). Arkansas, Scott County, La Fave Township, page 139. When did he die? Where are he and Polly buried?
