Marriage records in Scott County, Arkansas go back only to 1882 because the courthouse was burned down reportedly by the outlaw John Middleton and the marriage records were destroyed in the fire.
As to your question "How far back do the marraiges go? Is there anything you can tell me about a marraige between William C. Gipson and Sarah P ivey in 1852?" I show they were married about 1852:
