I believe Robert's parents were Thomas Harrison Huie and Susannah Pace who were married in White County, Illinois in 1837:

HINE, HARRISON to PACE, SUSANNAH on 03/17/1837 002/ WHITE

Record found online - note Harrison's last name is misspelled.

Thomas Harrison Huie's parents were Mary Jane Lane and Robert Huie.
