I have been researching the Payne and the Powers lately and I have a guess for John Powers family: Thomas L. Powers and Elizabeth Knight. I believe they had at least four children:John, Martha, Columbus C., and Mary.

Note from family researcher:
Columbus C. Powers can be found in the Magazine Township in 1870 living with a Huckaby family.
I have found T.L. Powers on the Voters Registration in Magazine Township, Yell county, Ar in 1868 and
in the Spring Creek Township, Yell County, Ar in 1872.
I have even went thru the Yell county pages one by one!
any help would be appreciated.
