Sherry I received this in from Carol and thought I should post for you. She also sent me the picture that you had scanned and gave her. I followed up by sending to the Netherlands. Brenda ****************** Ell Glenn Daniels father, Marcus Glenn Daniels died in Poteau, OK. Wife of M. Glenn Daniels was Hazel Ozment Daniels. In 1912-13 Arkansas Business Directory, her father, Eli Ozment, was living in Charleston (Franklin County) Arkansas and his occupation was a photographer. The 1945 and 1948 Fort Smith city directories show M. Ell Daniels living at 1005 No. 38th, Fort Smith, ARk. In Fighting Men of Arkansas, History of World War II, by Davis, granville D.; Gen 920 Fig; O.D. Canby, ed. & Pub. 1946, p. 878: Pfc. Ell Glenn Daniels, son of Ell and Hazel Daniels, was born at Fort Smith, Arkansas. He received his education by attending For Smith Junior and Senior High Schools. Entering the Infantry, July 29, 1943, he received basic training at Camp Claiborne, Louisiana. Private Daniels qualified for expert rifleman and infantryman, and departed for England on Sept. 1, 1944. After regrouping in England, he was sent to the continent and was killed in action November 29, 1944. He is survived by his parents, who live in Fort Smith. He is listed in the Fort Smith High School 1942 yearbook as a Junior, with a small photo. He is also listed in the Class of 1943 year book, and the 40th Year, 2nd Reunion book, with small photo. It seems that he has no survivors now. Hope the attached photo can be used. I do not find the web site for the family who are maintaining his grave in the Netherlands, so if you would, please sent this to them.
